Old Glory Distilling Co.

This family-owned distillery sought to become a must-see destination on the state’s “great whiskey trail,” with the goal of opening a public venue upon the release of their first bourbon. From daily distillery tours and tastings, to weekend brunches, open-air farmers markets, live music and more, the goal for this regionally rooted project was to create a beloved community gathering space for Clarkville locals and travelers. Flexibility was paramount, balancing intimate spaces with expansive halls for large groups. Spilling onto the “great lawn” our concept included a scrolling path, silo bar, covered stage, firepits, picnic tables and kids' play area. A noteworthy barbecue restaurant was also a primary requirement, including a double-height dining space, open kitchen and onsite smokers. As a final touch, a high-visibility neon sign was erected both atop the building and the cocktail bar, reinforcing a sense of brand and place throughout.
