Drawing from the diverse flavors of regional Mexican cooking, the latest location of this Colorado micro-chain was envisioned as a bold destination restaurant in Longmont’s bustling downtown. Housed within a landmark building that was formerly a department store, our primary challenge was to create an inviting, well-lit space within an enclosed, box-like structure. We achieved this through the installation of a 360-degree bar that activates the interior design, as well as two levels of dining spaces that open onto the bustling street. An eclectic blend of seating, custom metal work, graphic tiles, murals and plant life brought further life to the concept, while custom oversized antique mirrors and suspended lighting brought a sense of scale to an otherwise oversized space.
