Situated on an ideal ground-floor corner lot with significant presence and foot traffic, this opportunity—within a large residential project in Knoxville’s developing downtown—was primed for meaningful restaurant and cocktail offerings. Yet even with this prime location and STIR’s craveable, classic cuisine and cocktails, ensuring the activation and engagement of the space was paramount to the restaurant’s success. Creating an indoor/outdoor connection, open kitchen and desirable booth seating helped to ensure a lively dining space, while our materiality drew from turn-of-the-century America and the railroad industry, featuring industrial elements alongside smoky woods, marble and decorative embellishments.
